Given that my 70D connects to my Blackberry Passport, which has a famously small ecosystem, the fact that you cannot connect your 70D to the ongoing debacle known as windows is ridiculous. It looks like Canon may have a fix and it is a firmware update that can be downloaded. From what I have read and am now in the process of now trying to fix the problem is with the Camera. the now somewhat outdated Canon Zoom Browser to download from an SD card. Canon will have to fix this for sure, but let's be clear: it's a windows 10 problem. I have noted many questions about the Wi-Fi connection of a Canon 70D to Windows. I was still working on this problem when my previous Win 10 PC died. IIRC, on Win 10 you had to start the EOS utility manually after you connected the camera. ![]() It installed a version of EOS utility that would sort of work with Win 10. Required installing the correct EOS utility updater. Magic Lantern is a free firmware addon for Canon EOS DSLR cameras that adds a host of features to assist photographers and videographers. Problem is that the EOS utility wouldn't auto launch when the camera was connected. If you read that thread you'll see that I am a contributor to it.
